How do I read Anna’s Julian Code date break down?
The following markings are stamped on all individual packages (inkjet, on the ends) indicating the year of manufacture, date and time.
The first two letters (XX) signify the year manufactured.
- LQ = 2006
- LR = 2007
- LS = 2008
- LT = 2009
The next three digits (XXX) indicate day of the year the cookies were manufactured.
The last two digits (XX) are the hour in which the batch was produced in the bakery using the 24-hour clock system.
To apply the above to an example, product with the code LR05220 would be deciphered as follows:
- This product would have been baked in 2007
- On the 52nd day of that year (February 21)
- Between 2000 and 2100 hours. (8:00 pm – 9:00 pm)
